NEWS
FROM THE BOARD
- We want
to welcome Bill Flohrs to the NFHA Board. He will be filling out Jim Lewis'
term, which expires in October 2007. Bill will be taking over lighting and
irrigation responsibilities under the Landscaping umbrella. As a past president
of NFHA, he brings lots of experience and insight to the Board. Thanks, Bill,
for volunteering once again for our neighborhood!
- It has
come to our attention that some NF residents were illegally shooting off fireworks
on New Year's Eve. This is also a problem on the 4th of July as well as other
times of celebration. It is a violation of Overland Park regulations to shoot
fireworks on private property and can result in a ticket, fine, and a mandatory
court appearance. The Board is very concerned, as fireworks can be extremely
hazardous to many properties in the neighborhood, not just to those adjacent
to the offenders. So, please, respect your neighbors and refrain from shooting
off fireworks. If you notice someone disregarding the fireworks ordinance,
call the Overland Park Police Dept. immediately--they have promised to respond
quickly to any complaint.
- REMINDER
TO ALL PET OWNERS
Please remember to pick up after walking your dog. Complaints have been received
by homeowners who have noticed this not being done. Please be courteous of
your neighbor's property.
